Church of Saints Constantine and Helen

The Cathedral of Saints Constantine and Helen was found in 1932 and was build in 1934 on land bought for that purpose from Alkiviadis and Euagelia Tataki. Designed by the architect G.Dragaziki and it's the only one in Greece with pace of ''rotunda dome'' with four semi-domes.

Six years ago the temple was renovate by the family of Thanassis Martinos. Reinforced with carbon fiber and the paintings were replaced with mosaics from Vlasis Tsotsonis while the study of the static from the church has been donated, by the professor of the Technical University of Athens Constantinos Spyrakos. Today the church, completely renovated, is one of the most beautiful and majestic in the country, with Sunday school, hagiography school, piano lessons, choir, theater group and other activities. Every year, on the 21 of May, residents of Glyfada celebrate with dignity and respect their Saints. Citizens from all over Attica come in Glyfada that day to venerate the relics of Saint Helena.
